John joined Chicago Title with two decades of experience across commercial, residential, and ranch real estate. He previously served as Underwriting Counsel for the Southwest Region of another major title insurer, General Counsel for one of the largest independent brokerages in Texas, and represented equity partners in large-scale land and development projects for over a dozen years prior. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and is Board Certified in Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He was honored to serve as Chair of the 3,000+ member San Antonio Bar Association’s real estate section and currently serves on the board of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
John holds a JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law where he was a Dean’s Scholar, a Bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin, and additional certificates from The University of Texas School of Law and UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He and his wife Marina are both native San Antonians and have two boys + border collie.
